Ernest F. Oakwood, 96, Warriors Mark Township, died Monday. He was born in Tyrone, son of Franklin A. and Elizabeth May Oakwood. Surviving are a daughter, Linda Soellner; four grandchildren; a sister, Amber Walizer; and his ex-wife, Lasca McCahan. He was preceded in death by siblings: Elizabeth LaBraque, Ruby Dubbs, Barbara Elder, triplets Alice, Lottie May and John Oakwood and Albert Oakwood. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone.
