James Jay Ritchey, 76, Martinsburg, passed away Tuesday morning at his residence after a brief illness.
He was born in Cambria County and married Nancy Koch, who preceded him in death in 1965.
Surviving are his present wife, Peggi (Mento) Stellabotte; a son, Barry A. and wife, Christine, of Altoona; three stepdaughters: Dawn Brown and husband, Matthew, Lisa Reilly and husband, Steve, and Marlo Reilly and husband, Baron; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Jim was a U.S. Army veteran serving during peacetime. He retired from the Florida Department of Transportation and then from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, District 9, Hollidaysburg.
A private funeral service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
