Nellie R. (Shamas) Folcarelli, 91, Golden LivingCenter-Hillview, died Sunday at the center.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Habib and Ameline (Taleb) Shamas. She married Paul Folcarelli, and he preceded her in death April 8, 2004.
Surviving are a brother, George Shamas and wife, Kreed, of Coral Gables, Fla.; a sister, Patricia Myura and husband, Tony, of Palm Beach, Fla.; nieces and nephews: Beverly (Shamas) Cardone and husband, Alfred, Linda (Iacovetti) Fresh, Susan (Shamas) Lingenfelter and husband, Ray, Douglas Myura, Mike Shamas and Becky (Shamas) Gilford; 10 great-nieces and great-nephews; and eight great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Olga Shamas and Marie (Shamas) Boucher; two brothers: Alfred and Nicholas; and a niece, Judith Evelyn (Shamas) Hogan.
Nellie was a member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church.
There will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church by Father Joseph Gereige. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
