HOLLIDAYSBURG -- Arson and homicide suspect Aaron Wilson Dishong hung himself at the Blair County Prison, authorities said.
Deputy District Attorney Wade Kagarise confirmed the 62-year-old Dishong committed suicide and referred all other questions about his death to prison officials and Hollidaysburg police.
Warden Michael Johnston said Friday morning the staff was "in the middle of a situation" but referred further questions to the Blair County District Attorney's office.
The jail had Dishong on suicide watch at the time of his death, Kagarise said.
A magisterial district judge Wednesday determined there was enough evidence that Dishong set fire to an East End duplex, killing 3-year-old Darrel "DJ" Etchison Jr., to send the case to court.
