Janet L. Beauchamp , 85, Altoona, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday afternoon at her residence.
She was born in Foot of Ten, daughter of the late Lester and Esther (Ott) Weise. She married William J. Beauchamp on Sept. 24, 1949, in Cumberland, Md., and he preceded her in death on July 29, 2006.
Surviving are four children: Barbara Martino, William James Jr. and James Robert and wife, Deborah, all of Altoona, and David Eugene of Gainesville, Ga.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and her puppy, Riley.
She was preceded in death by a son, John Stephen Piper; and a grandson, David Martino.
Janet was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, where she enjoyed volunteering in the kitchen for Lenten fish fries. She was also a member of Overeaters Anonymous. She was a wonderful and loving woman who was special to many, many people.
There will be no public viewing. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Altoona, the Rev. Ronald Osinski officiating. Interment will be made at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
