Rosella D. "Bettie" Scott, 86, Blandburg, died Thursday.
She was born in Bellwood, daughter of the late James C. and Cora (Parks) Hopkins. She married Edward R. Scott Jr. on Jan. 6, 1946, in Cresson, and he died May 26, 2007.
Surviving are a son, James Todd (Nancy Gates) of Bellwood; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Jean Conrad of Stafford, Va., and Charlotte Sheehan of Cresson.
She was preceded in death by a son, Edward Gary; and a brother, James.
Bettie was a graduate of Cresson High School and had been a tax collector for Cambria County and Reade Township for 25 years. She was a member of Blandburg United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received from 1 until the 2 p.m. funeral service Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, Pastor Tracy Plessinger officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Blandburg United Methodist Church.
