Dennis M. Petyak, 56, Gallitzin, died Saturday at his residence.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Michael and Helen (Glass) Petyak. He married Barbara Ruffley on July 2, 1983.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Lori, and son, Joseph, both at home; a sister, Donna (Robert) Decoskey of Gallitzin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Denny was a 1974 graduate of Penn Cambria High School. He owned and operated Petyak Tire and Exhaust for 33 years. He was a member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin.
Denny enjoyed dirt track racing, fishing and running heavy equipment for the borough.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church St., Gallitzin, where a vigil service will be held Tuesday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin, with the Rev. Albert Ledoux as celebrant.
Committal will be at St. Mary Cemetery.
