Jessica Christine Diehl, 33, Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday morning at home after an extended illness. She was born in Altoona, daughter of Kenton and Bonnie (Fink) Diehl.
Surviving are her parents of Hollidaysburg; a brother, Jason C. of Leesburg, Va.; a stepsister, Tyesa L. Simpson in New Jersey; a stepmother, Brenda L. Diehl of Hollidaysburg; a stepfather, Kenneth McKernan; a grandmother, Evelyn M. Diehl of Hollidaysburg; 12 cousins; and six aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Violet Fink; and her grandfather, Charles Ralph Diehl.

Jessica was a 1998 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School. She was a U.S. Navy Operations Specialist 2nd Class, serving on the destroyer USS Barry. She was employed as an operations specialist at Hewlett Packard. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg.
Jessica loved her dogs, Charlie and Prince, and traveling. She played volleyball in high school and the Navy.
Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, where a funeral Mass with full military honors will be celebrated at 6 p.m., officiated by Father Anthony Legarski.
Committal will be at Carson Valley Cemetery.
The family requests donations in memory of Jessica be made to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
