Helena Julia "Judy" Allard, 91, Golden LivingCenter-Hillview, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at Altoona Regional after a brief illness.
She was born in Central City, daughter of the late Vasil and Maria (Prodan) Kovach.
Surviving are her loving husband, Stephane, and beloved daughter, Adrienne, both of Altoona; two sisters: Eva Palanes of Central City and Elizabeth Shibilski of Lodi, N.J.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers: Charles, Stephen, George and Joseph; and three sisters: Anna Galish, Mary Funk and Christina.
Judy was a hairdresser and enjoyed reading and playing bingo.
Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Mulcahy Funeral Home, Central City, where Panachida will be sung at 7 p.m. A brief service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at the funeral home, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Orthodox Greek Catholic Church by Father Mile Zdinak and Deacon Oleg. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
