Mary (Reiss) Carr, 88, Puyallup, Wash., peacefully passed away Jan. 6, 2013, from cardiopulmonary syndrome surrounded by her five children and her husband of 67 years.
She was born in Wilkes-Barre, the youngest of seven children of Frederick and Bridget (McTague) Reiss.

She raised her children in Altoona and then after 27 years once again returned to Laguna. She enjoyed living in Laguna for 36 years and then more recently joined family in San Diego and finally Puyallup, Wash.
Mary is remembered for her love and devotion to family, elegant grace and style, gentle sweet demeanor and smile, quick wit and political acumen.
