William L. Huether Jr., 75, Green Cove Springs, Fla., passed away Feb. 13, 2013.
He was born in Altoona, son of William L. and Catherine (Dillon) Huether. After his mother's death in 1942, he was raised by his father and stepmother, Helen (Delozier) Huether.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Nancy; two daughters: Catherine Huether of Orange Park, Fla., and Susan (David) Hatcher of Middleburg, Fla.; a son, Dr. William L. III (Kimberly) of Heathrow, Fla.; seven grandchildren: John, Joshua and Jacob Moore and Katherine, Kristen, William IV and Sarah Huether; two stepgrandchildren: David and Derek Hatcher; a brother, Robert (Nancy) of Duncansville; and many nieces and nephews.
William was a 1955 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and a 1958 graduate of Williamson School. His profession was a steam and gas turbine service engineer. He worked for two turbine manufacturers and also for 20 years owned his own consulting engineering business. He enjoyed racing, hunting, firearms, motorcycles and most of all being with his wife, children and grandchildren.
