William B. Ritchey, 79, Grove City, died Monday at Orchard Manor, Grove City.
He was born in Bedford, son of Blair and Thelma Ritchey.
Surviving are his second wife, Janet (Shirley), whom he married in 1979; two daughters: Connie L. Ritchey Flasher of Lewisberry and Bonnie J. Ritchey of Hermitage; a stepdaughter, Jackie Shirley Menzies of Grove City; two grandchildren: Heather Hertzog and Tyler Ritchey; a stepgrandson, Brian Menzies; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jean R. Wicker of Altoona.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Staines of Altoona, in 1985.
William was a 1953 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He was employed for 40 years with Ward Trucking Corp. and through the years received numerous awards for excellence in driving and safety at Ward Trucking. He was a member and past president of the Grove City Eagles and a past member of the Masons in Blair County.
Friends will be received from 1 until the 2 p.m. funeral service Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Ficca Funeral Home, 203 E. Pine St., Grove City, with fellowship after the service until 3 p.m. The Rev. Robert Pascoe, chaplain for Amedisys Hospice, will officiate.
