Josephine K. Love, 94, Altoona, passed away peacefully Friday at her home.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of Antonio and Maria (Tomeo) Maniglia. She married Charles F. Love on May 11, 1957, who preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 2008.
Surviving are two sisters: Rose Nasralla and Carmeline Maniglia, both of Altoona; and a brother-in-law, William T. Love. She was a devoted aunt to five nieces: Maria Schumann, Lucia McLaughlin, Mary Eiman, Dr. Elvira Maniglia Panico and Joanne Orsena; and two nephews: Dr. Anthony Maniglia and Anthony Nasralla; and a loving aunt to 11 great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by three siblings: Marco Maniglia, Dr. Angelo Maniglia and Augusta Orsena.
Josephine was a 1936 graduate of Altoona High School. She then specialized in fitting children's clothing at the New Idea in downtown Altoona. She retired as an office clerk from Warnaco in 1980 with 35 years of service.
Josephine was an active member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the St. Rose Supper Club and also belonged to AARP. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, Italian cooking and being with her family.
She will be warmly remembered by her family and friends for her warm heart and sweet disposition.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at Santella Funeral Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Josephine may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
