Lila H. Bridenbaugh, 91, rural Martinsburg, died Monday at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring, after a brief illness.
She was the daughter of the late Clark T. and Anna (Hanlin) Asper.
Surviving are her husband, George H. Bridenbaugh; three children: Connie Fry and husband, Ken, of rural Martinsburg, Dr. G. Alan and wife, Lona, of Hanover and Nina of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Lila was a graduate of Shippensburg High School and Juniata College, Huntingdon. She was a former schoolteacher and also had actively assisted her husband with their Marcove Farm and Landscaping businesses near Martinsburg.
Lila was a member of Memorial Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg, where she had served as a deaconess and was a children's Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a former leader of the Millerstown 4-H Club, rural Martinsburg, for 15 years.
Friends will be received from 11:30 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service, Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Memorial Church of the Brethren, Pastor Joel F. Nogle officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
Memorial contributions may be given to Martinsburg Community Library, where Lila had served as a former director.
