Edwin C. "Brush" Grannis, 72, Ramey, died Saturday. He was born in Philipsburg, son of August Sr. and Anna (Zezoney) Grannis. Surviving are his wife, Lois Jean (Berndt); a daughter, Peg Deibler of Shillington; two granddaughters; and three siblings: Doris Brenneman, John and Thomas. He was preceded in death by two siblings: Mary Louise Gates and August Jr. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at Kruise Funeral Home Inc., Ramey. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale.
