Thelma Louise (Thomas) Monahan, 84, Altoona, died Monday at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late J. Irvin and Violette (Young) Thomas. She married Stanley J. Monahan on June 11, 1949, at Grace United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband; three children: Susan Beck (Perry), Wayne (Gail) and Stephen (Beth), all of Altoona; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Paul; and a brother, Jay Thomas.
Louise was a 1946 graduate of Altoona High School and had been employed with Butterick Co. Inc. and Sylvania. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and also belonged to the Altoona Women's Bowling Association and Bowlers Hall of Fame. She was an avid bowler.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
