Christopher T. Jenkins, 51, Tyrone, passed away peacefully Saturday morning at home after a yearlong battle with cholangiocarcinoma.
He was born in Phillipsburg, son of the late Thomas and Gloria (Discerni) Jenkins. He married Dianne M. Kirsch on April 29, 1989.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Adam C. of Charleston, S.C.; and seven siblings: Tom and wife, Sharon, of Hollidaysburg, Francis and wife, Connie, of Cortland, Ohio, Bryan and wife, Cindy, of Valley City, Ohio, Jamie and wife, Joyce, of Duncansville, Tracy of Mount Joy, Renee of Altoona and Gloria McCloskey and husband, Dave, of Altoona.

Christopher was a 1979 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He received an associate degree in letters, arts and sciences from Penn State University in 1982, a nursing diploma from the Altoona Hospital School of Nursing in 1984 and a Bachelor of Science from LaRoche College in conjunction with the completion of the program at Allegheny Valley Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia in Natrona Heights in 1988. He achieved his goal of becoming a CRNA, a profession he enjoyed practicing for 24 years.
Christopher enjoyed fishing and traveling, but above all else, he mostly loved spending time with his wonderful, close-knit family who loved and supported him through a most difficult last year, for which he was most grateful.
