Mary Lou Hoover, 75, Martinsburg, died Saturday at Altoona Regional due to complications with leukemia.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Chalmer and Geraldine (Gunnett) Wineland. She married James C. Hoover on June 10, 1961, in Roaring Spring.
Surviving are her husband; two children: Todd C. and wife, Melody, of Woodbury and Stephanie Partner and husband, Art, of Hollidaysburg; four grandchildren: Ben and Adam Hoover and Seth and Olivia Partner; and two sisters and a brother: Doris Albright of Martinsburg, Joanne Thompson and husband, Robert, of Alexandria and Archie Wineland of Roaring Spring.

She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Delvin.
Mary Lou was a 1955 graduate of Roaring Spring High School. She was employed in retail sales and photography, as a bank teller at Mid-State Bank and drove a school van for Smith Busing. She was a member of First Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring, where she had taught children's Sunday school and served in the church choir and on various committees and commissions. She enjoyed her trips to the beach and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing, but friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at First Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring, where a memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013, by Pastor Joe Surin. Inurnment will be made in Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, Altoona.
