Kenneth E. Wagner, 67, of Altoona died Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at his residence.
He was born in Altoona, a son of the late David E. and Della M. (Shadle) Wagner. He married Arlene McGunigal at Bethany Lutheran Church. She preceded him in death on March 4, 1987.
Surviving are two stepchildren: Jeannie Baney and husband, David, of Copperas Cove, Texas, and Donald G. Laughlin Jr. of Altoona; five grandchildren, Autumn Vargo-Koch, Erik M. Vargo, Katrina J. Laughlin, Shawn D. Laughlin and Jeannie M. Laughlin; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Coltabaugh of Altoona; two brothers: Charles Wagner and wife, Patti, of Lock Haven and Richard Wagner of Altoona.
He was preceded in death by nine siblings.
Ken was a 1963 graduate of Altoona High School and a former member of the former First United Methodist Church, Altoona.
He was employed as a printer by the Altoona Mirror for more than 20 years. He retired from Denny's Restaurant in 2009.
He enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, word search and reading history, especially military history from the American Civil War and World War II.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 to the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, April 19, 2013, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, with the Rev. Paula Schmitt officiating. Interment will be made at Rose Hill Cemetery, Altoona.
