Derek P. Harr, 4, Feathers Court, Claysburg, died Friday, April 19th, 2013, at Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born in Huntingdon, son of Matthew Don and Christine Ann Harr of Claysburg.
Surviving are his parents; a brother, Drew M., at home; paternal grandparents, Don and Betty of Imler; and maternal grandparents, Curtis and Joan Leader of Everett.
Derek and his family attend Crossroads Bible Church. He attended preschool at Growing Years Learning Center at Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries in Claysburg and was the bat boy for his brother Drew's baseball team.
He loved Jeep Wranglers ("Wanglers"), playing in the mud and sleeping with Mommy. His favorite TV show was Jake and the Neverland Pirates.
Derek will be very sadly missed by his big brother Drew, his mommy and daddy, aunts and uncles and many cousins, and his dogs, Chloe and Bullseye.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Crossroads Bible Church, Bedford, with Pastor Mark Dillow officiating and words by Derek's father, Matt Harr. Interment will be held at Greenfield Cemetery, Claysburg.
