Doris M. Keith, 84, Hollidaysburg, died Saturday evening at the home of her daughter.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of John and Ethel (McConahy) Chamberlain. On Oct. 19, 1946, she married Ralph O. "Red" Keith in Altoona. He died on July 14, 2006, after having shared 59 years of marriage.
She is survived by a daughter, Doris Jean Drass and husband, Denny, of Hollidaysburg; two grandchildren: Dawn Mattern and husband, Paul, and Keith Drass and wife, Jaime; seven great-grandchildren: Johnathan, Matthew and Michael Fulton, Caleb and Benjamin Drass and Cierra and Arian Mattern; three sisters: Betty Kehoe, Janet Berkey and Patty Summers; and a sister-in-law, Jeanne Chamberlain.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Doris had retired as a looper from Puritan silk mill in 1976.
She loved spending time with her family, "her kids," reading her Bible daily, playing cards, crossword puzzles and watching the Steelers.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. at the funeral home by Pastor Tim McGarvey. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
