Betty L. Harclerode, 85, of Hillside Street, Everett, went home to be with the Lord Saturday at UPMC Bedford Memorial.
She was born in Snake Spring Township, daughter of the late Harry H. and Ada (Bingham) Diehl. She married Lloyd F. Harclerode on Aug. 26, 1950, in Everett, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 2011.
Surviving are two daughters: Carol L. Harclerode of Everett and Debra E. LaMagna and husband, Michael, of Hollidaysburg; two grandchildren: Erin E. Fagans and husband, Jay, of Martinsburg and Ashley D. Reed and friend, Carrie Detwiler, of Altoona; four great-grandchildren: Kylah E. Reed-Detwiler, Olivia L. Reed-Detwiler, Brody R. Fagans and, soon to be born on May 7, 2013, Hannah E. Fagans; and also numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Anna Barnes, Helen Everetts and Mary Blankley; and a son-in-law, Kenneth P. Reed.
Betty was a member of Community Grace Brethren Church, Everett. She was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family and spending time with her great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and had a love for flowers.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, and 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Community Grace Brethren Church, Pastor Jeff Peeler officiating. Burial will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
