Janet A. Gonder, 70, Hollidaysburg, died Wednesday at her residence.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Henry and Naomi (Newkirk) Eger. She married Gary L. Gonder on June 30, 1984, in Reno, Nev.
Surviving are her husband, with whom she shared 28 years of marriage; two sons: Greg Daughenbaugh and wife, Pam, of Duncansville and Jeff Daughenbaugh and wife, Lisa, of Garner, N.C.; six grandchildren: Dane and twin sister Kate, Leigha, Haley, Cross and Blake; a great-grandson, Jude; a sister, Nancy Feathers of Duncansville; and a brother, Don of Hollidaysburg.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith A. Lamont, in 2012; a son, Brian Daughenbaugh; and four brothers: Gary, Richard, Raymond and Edward.
Janet was a 1960 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired from the Blair County Courthouse as a receptionist and mail clerk, and prior to that she had been employed by Butterick and Texas Hot Dogs. She attended Hollidaysburg First Church of God.
Janet enjoyed gardening and bird-watching.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, by Pastor Kathy Colebank.
