ROARING SPRING - A three-car crash Thursday afternoon left a man in serious condition, emergency responders said at the Taylor Township scene.
Firefighters received a call shortly before 5 p.m. that three vehicles had slammed into each other at the intersection of Woodbury Pike and Cross Cove Road, about three miles south of Roaring Spring.
By 5:30 p.m., an ambulance was speeding north from the scene. The male driver of a silver Ford SUV had suffered serious injuries, Friendship Fire Company Chief Keith Pote said. Firefighters pulled the driver from the smashed vehicle.

No other drivers or passengers were seriously injured, Pote said.
Onlookers gathered in nearby fields after the crash, while firefighters snapped cellphone photographs of the smashed cars.
A black Mazda SUV appeared to have rear-ended the Ford, while a white pickup truck labeled "Northeast Service Corp." had crashed into the Mazda at an angle. Firefighters said they weren't sure how the crash occurred.
Emergency workers blocked north-south traffic at the intersection shortly after the crash, forcing motorists to cut through a nearby parking lot.
The motorists' names and information on the driver's injuries were not available Thursday evening.
