Nancy L. Pannebaker, 89, formerly of Altoona, passed away Wednesday morning at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg.
She was born in Pittsburgh, daughter of John L. and Mary (Spearing) Musser. She married Gerald R. Pannebaker on July 26, 1947, at First Lutheran Church, Altoona. He preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 1987.
She is survived by two sons: Jeffrey R. (Linda) of Silver Spring, Md., and Terry M. (Annette) of Altoona; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Betty Doeringer and Miriam Sellers; and three brothers: F. Edward Musser, John Musser and Laird Musser.
Nancy was a 1941 graduate of Altoona High School and a graduate of the Altoona School of Commerce. She retired as an administrative assistant from the Allegheny Lutheran Home, where she was the first employee in 1949 or 1950.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hollidaysburg. She enjoyed cooking, music, gardening, games, cards, volunteering at the Lutheran Home and Zion Lutheran Church, and spending time with family and friends.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2013, at Zion Lutheran Church, Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Gregory P. Harbaugh. Committal will be at Presbyterian Cemetery, Port Matilda.
