Altoona police said at least eight rounds were fired into a home on 11th Avenue early Thursday.
Altoona police Lt. Jeffrey Pratt said police were called to 2006 11th Avenue Rear at 3:06 a.m. after someone shot at the residence where two adults were present. No one was injured, although bullets did penetrate the building, Pratt said.
Pratt said police investigators are following up on leads and evidence was gathered at the scene. Details were sketchy, Pratt said, as police continued to look into the incident and determine what kind of gun was used, who is responsible and the circumstances behind the shooting.
