Marilyn R. Thompson, 78, Hollidaysburg, died June 23, 2013, at Altoona Regional.
She was born in Johnstown, daughter of the late Christian and Julia (Christ) Schaller. She married Harry B. Thompson on Nov. 26, 1955, in Johnstown.
Surviving are her husband; two children: David J. Thompson and wife, Rose, of Harrisburg and the Rev. Debra D. Thompson of Pittsburgh; and two grandchildren: Julia and Jack Thompson.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Seivers.
Marilyn was a 1952 graduate of Richland High School. She was a homemaker but worked in the early years of her employment as a flight attendant for the former All American Airways and also at the Bedford Springs Hotel during the summer of 1952. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hollidaysburg, where she was a member of the Ruth Circle, chancel choir and altar guild. She also belonged to the Blair Garden Club, Sylvan Hills Ladies Golf Association and Jobel Court 11.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2013, at Zion Lutheran Church, Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013, by the Revs. Greg Harbaugh and Kyle Hayes. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
