Drake coming to CONSOL
PITTSBURGH - Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum recording artist Drake will bring his upcoming "Would You Like a Tour?" North American tour to the CONSOL Energy Center at 7 p.m. Oct. 18.
The tour will also feature one of music's fastest rising stars, Grammy Award winner Miguel, as well as rapper Future.

AES presents indie rockers
AnEmergencyScene will present the bands Slingshot Dakota, Allison Weiss, Lacey Caroline, On the Run and SPRRWS at 5 p.m. July 21 at The Archway Center, 401 5th Ave., Altoona.
Slingshot Dakota is an indie rock duo from Bethlehem and consists of Carly Comando and Tom Patterson. Their album "Dark Hearts" was released via Topshelf Records last fall.
Allison Weiss, a No Sleep Records artist, played here in March with Candy Hearts and Pentimento, right before her album "Say What You Mean" hit shelves.
Lacey Caroline is a singer-songwriter from New York, who has also performed with the Poughkeepsie, N.Y.- based pop rock band, The Best Week Ever with Tom Degrazia (We are The In Crowd, That's Outrageous).

Resort hosts food event
SEVEN SPRINGS - Seven Springs Mountain Resort will present its fourth annual Rib & Wing Festival from July 26 to 28.
The food festival will feature ribs and wings of all styles from Smokin' Joe's Hog Wild Barbecue, Pigfoot BBQ, Mojo's Rib Shack and Armadillo's BBQ & Rib Company. The event also includes live music, games, crafts, a beer garden and childrens activities.
Festival hours are 4 to 9 p.m. July 26, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 27 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 28.
Admission to the festival is $7 per person and children age 11 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased at the gate the day of the event. Admission does not include food.
Bluegrass event set
The fourth annual Southern Cove Bluegrass Festival will be held July 20 and 21 at the Power Reunion Grounds in New Enterprise. This year's event features headliners Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Sleepy Man Banjo Boys and Little Roy Lewis & Lizzy Long, as well as other nationally known bands.
The event begins at 11 a.m. On both days.
Admission is $18 in advance or $20 at the gate for July 20, $25 in advance or $30 at the gate for July 21, $40 in advance or $45 at the gate for both days, $10 for kids ages 5 to 12 on both days and free for kids under age 5.

Simon comedy featured
JENNERSTOWN - The Mountain Playhouse raises the curtain Tuesday on a world premiere production of "Neil Simon's Comic Suites," an original arrangement of one-acts from each of Simon's "suite" plays: "Plaza Suite," "California Suite" and "London Suite." The show previews Monday and will run through July 21.
Neil Simon approved this arrangement, created by Teresa Stoughton Marafino, executive producer of the Mountain Playhouse.
The show will be performed at 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, at 2 p.m. Wednesday and Friday and at 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $14 to $21.25 for Monday's preview performance, $17 to $30 for the matinees and $22 to $34 for evening performances.
