Allan R. Burket, 57, East Freedom, passed away Thursday at home.
He was born in Roaring Spring, son of Katie (Burket) Burket and the late Gerald Burket. He married Marsha Benton on April 26, 1975, in Beaverdale.
Surviving are his mother of Imler; his wife of East Freedom; two daughters: Heather Brown and husband, Gary, of Claysburg, and Stacy Beck and husband, Kevin, of Blue Knob; four grandchildren: Matthew Pittman, Sydney Brown, Cameron Brown and Alexis Beck; a brother, Dennis Burket; and two sisters: Karen Bilger and Jean Matters.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Desch.
Allan was a self-employed carpet installer.
He was a 1974 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School.
He was a member of the NRA and Three Valley Sportsmans Club and enjoyed guns, hunting, fishing, woodworking and four-wheeling.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Ron Bashore officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the family.
