Milton Earl Carter III, 62, Autumn Estate, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Altoona, died Monday evening at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Milton Earl Jr. and Kathleen Emma (Bowman) Carter.
Surviving are a sister, Sharon A. Hale of Autumn Estate, Hollidaysburg; an aunt, Judy A. Galloway of Bellemead; an uncle, James Focht of Altoona; and six cousins: Jeffrey Bowman of McMurray, Robert Bowman of Rochester, N.Y., Lori Miles of Spruce Creek, Lisa Orsino of Bellwood, Larry Focht of Altoona and Deborah Blazier of Altoona.
Milton was a 1970 graduate of the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf. He previously attended Riggles Gap Bible Church. He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, Penguins and Steelers and Penn State football and also was an avid bowler.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. William C. Ice officiating. Interment will be made at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Altoona.
