Bertha B. Stetter, 89, Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg, formerly of 2001 First Ave., Altoona, died Sunday at the Village.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Severin and Mary (Koesbauer) Stetter.
Surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Conroy and Agnes Najduch; and four brothers: Severin Jr., Peter, Walter and Herbie.
Bertha was a 1942 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired in February 1983 as a tube tester from ECG Philips after 38 years of service. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altoona, and she enjoyed her family, picnics and bowling.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. today at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altoona, by Monsignor Timothy Stein. Committal will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
