Emil D. Corle, 85, Hollidaysburg, passed away Saturday.
He was born in Pavia, son of the late Charles and Martha (Ickes) Corle.
Surviving are his companion, Clara Cable of Davidsville; a daughter, Elaine "Jo"; two stepdaughters: Cathy and Diane; a stepson, Gary; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. Emil was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Emil was preceded in death by his wife, Fay; and his former wife, Ruth Ann.
Emil was the square dance caller for Chimrock Squares for 44 years and a member of the Railroaders Camping Square Dancing Club. He will be greatly missed by everyone.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home, Alum Bank, and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at Mt. Zion Reform Church in Pavia, with Pastor Haydu officiating. Interment will be at the Pavia Cemetery.
