AAHS softball team gives back

Members of the Altoona Area High School softball team recently raised money in support of breast cancer research and the American Cancer Society and Stars of Hope survivor group at the Strike Out Cancer game against Saint Mary’s High School on April 17. A check for $568 was presented to the American Cancer Society and a check for $568 was presented to the Stars of Hope survivor group. Participating in the check presentation were (from left): Montana Feather, Lisa Koncz (American Heart Association), Madison James, Alexis Evans, Natalie Houk, Kim Nguyen, Aileen Davies (AAHS head coach), Ellen Roberts, Rebecca Knott (Stars of Hope survivor group); second row — Tamra Brown, Amanda Parrish, Sckylaur Kane, Morgan James, Jasmine Butler and Alyssa Fasolo; third row — Andrea Parrish, Marena Simington, Margot Berry, Bethaney Kudlawiec and Caitlyn Palazzi; fourth row — Alexa Young, Mekenzy Irish, Riley Duey, Cassie Hall, Karlee Swander, Emily Little and Amanda Ford.
