Laurel Highlands Historical Village is collecting food, paper goods, hygiene products and gift cards for area veterans from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18 at the Ebensburg Walmart.

The group is also collecting new and used kitchen appliances (mixers, air fryers, blenders, etc.), laundry products, gift cards and vacuums. Gift cards and monetary donations may also be mailed to the Laurel Highlands Historical Village office, 390 Rose Branch St., Johnstown, PA 15909.

Donations will also be accepted at the lottery booth in the Galleria Mall, Hoss’s in Ebensburg or Johnstown, Bi Lo in Windber, Kimmies restaurant in Mundys Corner and Stagers in Portage. Supplies are extremely low at this time and there has been an increase in the number of veterans seeking help; please consider helping our veterans in need.
