Bill Eisenhart of Altoona submitted this photo from 1976, along with this summary: “When I was teaching art at Keith Junior High, a special group of students painted this bicentennial mural on the rear wall of my classroom. I supervised them but they designed, drew the illustrations and painted it on the wall. It was theirs. They would stay after school and some came in Saturday mornings to work on their mural. When they finished, you could see how proud it made them feel. I was proud of all my students at Keith, especially my muralists. The artwork they produced in my class was excellent, and they deserve kudos and credit for their work to honor our country.” Eisenhart, a teacher of American History, is shown at left with a student gift of an American bear.
