New hires and promotions

Rachel Ferko and Stephanie Rowland have joined Keller Engineers Inc. as designer in Land Development and assistant construction manager, respectively.

Ferko is an engineer-in-training with a strong background in environmental engineering. She joins Keller as a designer in their Land Development Division and will be responsible for various aspects of land development design services and the production of plan drawings and reports including site layout, utility design/profiles, grading and watershed analysis.

Rowland joins Keller Engineers Transportation Division as the assistant construction manager. Due to her 25 years of experience in construction inspection and management, she will be primarily coordinating inspection personnel, overseeing inspection of construction and scheduling for state, municipal and private projects.

Theresa Fink has been named market vice president and COO of Conemaugh Physician Group.

In her role, she will manage the strategic planning, growth, development and quality improvement of the Conemaugh Physician Group, leading a team of highly skilled physicians and Advanced Practice Providers delivering exceptional care across a five-county region.

Fink has been serving in the interim capacity since May 2024. Before joining CPG, she was senior vice president and COO for Tower Health Medical Group.

Awards and honors

Melanie Shildt has been named the recipient of the 2024 Leadership Blair County Fellow Award.

Shildt, a graduate of the class of 2017, has remained active with the program. Today she is director of business development for Arrow Land Solutions LLC, Altoona.

Course completions and certifications

Magisterial District Judges Daniel C. DeAntonio and Benjamin Jones of Blair County, Michael Zungali of Cambria County, Donald M. Hahn of Centre County, and Jerome M. Nevling and James Glass of Clearfield County were recertified for service as members of the Pennsylvania Judiciary after successfully completing continuing education course work.

Every magisterial district judge must complete the Minor Judiciary Education Board’s continuing education program each year. The 32-hour instructional program covers a variety of legal topics and practices to help magisterial district judges fairly and efficiently adjudicate cases and manage their magisterial district courts.
