Boscov’s hosting fundraising

In recognition of Memorial Day, Boscov’s Department Store will host its “Honor Our Heroes” event, a special fundraising and shopping event that will take place both in-store and online on Saturday, May 24, at all Boscov’s locations.

This event is designed to commemorate our nation’s fallen military heroes by raising donation proceeds for three organizations: Wounded Warrior Project, Fallen Patriots and Hope For The Warriors, all of which provide support, services and opportunities for our nation’s heroes and their families.

For a $5 donation, customers will receive a 15% off shopping pass that can be used during the event, with 100% of the donations going to the partnering nonprofit organizations. Donations can be made in-store and online now through the May 24 event.

Bull Pen reopens

The Bull Pen Restaurant in Tyrone reopened its doors Tuesday after the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board approved the transfer of the liquor incense from BPTYR LLC to Chris Dutrow and Joe Russo — BP TYRONE LLC.

The restaurant closed last week due to a delay in getting the transfer approved.
