CCIDA reduces interest rate for loan program borrowers

The Clearfield County Industrial Development Authority has announced a reduction in the interest rate charged to approved borrowers in its Revolving Loan Fund Program, with the rate being fixed at 4.75% for the duration of the loan. This rate will remain in effect for applications received through the fourth quarter of 2024.

Eligible applicants will be industrial or commercial in nature and eligible uses include acquisition of real estate, new construction, renovations, or purchase of machinery and equipment. Refinancing of existing debt is not eligible.

Loan requests may not exceed 50% of the total project cost or $100,000; whichever is less. Any form of public or private financing may be used in conjunction with proceeds from the Revolving Loan Fund Program.

ACE Award to highlight Farm-City dinner

The Blair County Chamber of Commerce Farm-City Committee will host its annual Farm-City Dinner Nov. 13 at the Freedom Township Fire Hall.

A milk punch reception will begin at 6 p.m., followed by a turkey dinner at 6:30 p.m. The featured speaker for the evening will be Tyler Shaw, vice president of Shirley’s Cookie Co.

The highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the 2024 Blair County Agricultural Community Excellence Award to Cove View Farms.
