Director of GACTC faces felony counts
Palmer arraigned on 10 felony counts of child pornography
The executive director of the Greater Altoona Career and Technical Center was charged with child pornography in Indiana County Friday.
Eric Daniel Palmer, 40, was arraigned before Judge Anthony Sottile III on 10 felony counts of child pornography and one felony count of criminal use of a communication facility.
He is free on $50,000 unsecured bail.
According to a post on GACTC’s website, the vo-tech school is aware of the charges against Palmer and has named Nicole Zernick as interim executive director. The notice stated that the school took “appropriate action” following the allegations.
Palmer is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Sottile at 1:45 p.m. Dec. 5.
