Laura Theresa Gregory, 55, of Huntingdon, passed away in her home Monday, Feb. 1, 2021. Known affectionately as Mrs. G, she was a kindergarten teacher at Juniata Valley Elementary School, where she taught for 20 years. Laura always had a big smile and a hug for everyone, and her bubbly personality was infectious. She loved teaching and her students adored her.

Laura graduated from Altoona Area High School and received a master’s in education from Saint Francis University and a bachelor’s of science in education from Juniata College.

Laura is survived by her husband, Paul K. Gregory; children: Jamie Marie Biondi and husband, Brad, of Arlington, Va.; Matthew Ryan Boone and wife, Emily, of Tyrone; and Corey Edward Boone of Altoona; her sister, Lisa Durbin, and husband, Scott, and two nieces, Elena and Angela of Altoona; stepchildren: Rachel Elizabeth Robb of Naples, Fla.; Keith Brendan Gregory and wife, Jessica, of Loveland, Colo.; and Craig Joseph Gregory and wife, Jamie, of State College; and two step-grandchildren, Skylar and Everett Gregory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis “Larry” Sobak and Connie Mitchell.

All services will be private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date after COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.
