Thomas L. McLaughlin, 70, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Wednesday. He was born in Creston, Iowa, son of the late Wallace W. and Pauline (Peel) McLaughlin.

He married Debby Young in 1974.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years; a daughter, Terri Barth and her husband, Shawn; a son, John and his wife, Amanda; nine grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; a sister, Debbi Brill and her husband, Alan; a half-sister, Cyndy Bakerink; a special cousin, Max Thompson; and many loving in-laws.

Thomas was a high school graduate and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a professional photographer.

He was a member of the Altoona Horseshoe Chorus and Juniata Valley Gospel Church. He was also a photographer for the Phoenix Volunteer Fire Department.

Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bill Gauldoni officiating.
