Charles S. Stiffler, 70, Hollidaysburg, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Charles and Marjorie (Patterson) Stiffler.

On Aug. 6, 2011, he married Betsy Barroner in Hollidaysburg.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Sam Barroner; three daughters: Kristy Yingling, Kylie Consalvo and Catherine Barroner; two grandchildren, Alayna and Aiden; and three sisters: Sally Cree, Nancy Forsht and Karen Daniels.

He was preceded in death by an infant son; a brother, Donald; and a sister, Joyce Sturm.

Charles was a graduate of Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School and retired from Norfolk Southern Corp. in the parts warehouse.

Charles enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching dirt car races.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2024, at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Douglas McGaffin officiating.

Interment will be at Canoe Creek Cemetery.
