Donald E. Sweeney

Donald E. Sweeney, 72, of rural Williamsburg, passed away Tuesday evening. He was born in rural Williamsburg, son of the late Palmer E. Sr. and Marie Cecelia (Deyarmin) Sweeney. Don was formerly married to Lugene A. (Erb) Byrns. Surviving are a son, Scott A. Sweeney; and a grandson, Jaret S. Sweeney. He was preceded in death by siblings: William “Bill” Sweeney, Palmer Sweeney Jr., Barbara Bowers and Patricia Verbonitz. Don was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Friends will be received from noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
