Herman J. Bumgarner Jr.

Herman J. Bumgarner Jr., 88, of Altoona, passed away Thursday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona, after an extended illness. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Herman J. Sr. and Verna (Morris) Bumgarner.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly J. (Trullender); sisters, Kathy Jo Garland and Mary Carol Wilson; grandchildren, Brandon Grannas and Amanda Humphreys; and great-grandchildren, Julie and Addison.
Herman was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean War.
He retired from SKF in Altoona after many years of service.
Herman loved to play his guitar and keyboards, mainly oldies and country. He truly loved his grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and spending time with them.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. Interment will take place at Blair Memorial Park.
