Charlotte ‘Jean’ Riley
March 16, 1938 – April 22, 2025
Charlotte “Jean” Riley, 87, of Bellwood, died Tuesday afternoon at her home. She was born in Doylesburg, a daughter of the late Sylvester E. and Mae E. (Hockenberry) Wolfe.
On March 29, 1958, she married Richard “Dick” Riley in Bellwood. He preceded her in death on June 3, 2007.
Surviving are her three sons: Jim (Kelly), Ron and Sean (Rhonda) Riley; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Charles (Linda) Wolfe and Deborah (Larry) Lamarre.
She was preceded in death by her son, Tim; and siblings: Donald and Albert Wolfe, Patsy Gathagan, Stella Rutherford and Pauline Hopkins.
Jean was a 1956 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and retired as a librarian at Bellwood-Antis Public Library with 40 years of service.
An avid reader, she also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and flower gardening.
To honor Jean’s wishes, there will be no viewing, visitation or funeral services.
Arrangements are by Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood.
The family suggests that contributions in her memory be made to Bellwood-Antis Public Library.
