Altoona notches shutout of Mifflin County

LEWISTOWN — Altoona registered two goals in a little over two minutes of the first half to grab a 2-0 victory over Mifflin County in high school boys soccer action on Monday.

Goalkeeper Luke Mitchell earned the shutout for the Mountain Lions, while Jace Black scored first on an assist by Justin Bossler, and then Collin Etters recorded the second off a pass by Troy Peterman.

The Golden Tigers got the first goal on an own goal with a minute left in the opening half.

Andrew Wilson netted the lone goal for the Bearcats.
