HUNTINGDON — Bellwood-Antis’ Peyton McCahan smacked her first career homer in the fifth inning in a 3-1 loss to Huntingdon Wednesday in high school softball.

Losing pitcher Palynn Gregg struck out nine Lady Bearcats and walked just two for the Lady Blue Devils.

Bishop Guilfoyle was no-hit by Philipsburg-Osceola’s Macie Bush in a 13-0 five-inning loss.

The Lady Marauders gave up 19 hits to the Lady Mounties, who scored seven in the third and six in the fifth.

Bush struck out eight and did not walk a batter.

FLINTON — Glendale found itself on the wrong end of 18 strikeouts as West Branch handed the Lady Vikings a 2-0 loss.

Winning pitcher Makena Moore tallied those 18 strikeouts to go with three walks. Madison Peterson got the loss. She struck out five and walked only one.
