George Banks

George Banks, 86, of Ebensburg, died March 20, 2025, at home, surrounded by family. He was born July 8, 1938, in South Fork, son of the late Thomas and Alberta (Stigerts) Banks. He was preceded in death by stepdaughter, Kimberly Stephens; and sister, Betty Seashore. He is survived by wife, the former LaVerne Farabaugh; three daughters and several grandchildren. George was the last member of his immediate family. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 25 years’ service. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville.
